Parent Evening

'HEALTHY LUNCHBOXES' was the focus of our discussions for tonight.
Thanks to Teiho & Letele from Health Star Pacific for sharing their expertise knowledge in this area.

A variety of stations were set up by teachers to generate ideas around the importance of providing healthy lunchboxes for our tamariki.
An eventful night ended with a taste of healthy snacks.

Thanks to everyone who participated in tonight's workshop. It could not have happened without your attendance and input. Watch out for our wall display that will be up over the next few days.

  2. Really good to have Healthstar Pacific join us last night as well as Heather from Glen Innes Primary, especially to the parents that also joined us I hope we all got a little something out of last nights korero.
Nutrition is a huge topic in our community but hopefully "simple steps one at a time" will get us there.

  3. I Loved the evening and what a great place to meet other parents and have so much good and healthy food! I learned a lot. Especially about the portion size (not too big, cut up the apples etc) variety - and I got many new ideas how to make lunch less boring. Thank you for the presentation from Health Star.

  4. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff of Apii Potiki who organised a fantastic night filled with lots of good eating, learning and sharing. I thoroughly enjoyed the fun people were experiencing and the many questions people were asking to help them make better more healthy choices when it comes to preparing lunchboxes. Keep up the wonderful work.
